Hi AlexT_Intel,

I used your repo and installed kernel_module snd-usb-audio module, alsa utils and mpg123. I plugged in the usb sound card. The alsamixer didn't seem to recognize the device. The following is the screenshot from alsamixer:

Screen Shot 2014-12-13 at 3.04.39 PM.png

But 'ls /dev' shows 'hidraw0' as the new device, and lsusb shows the following:

    # lsusb

    Bus 001 Device 004: ID 0d8c:0008 C-Media Electronics, Inc.

Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub

Running mpg123 produced the following errors:

    # mpg123 -vC Inspire.mp3

[pulse.c:84] error: Failed to open pulse audio output: Connection refused

[audio.c:643] error: failed to open audio device

[audio.c:180] error: Unable to find a working output module in this list: pulse

[audio.c:545] error: Failed to open audio output module

[mpg123.c:913] error: Failed to initialize output, goodbye.

What else did I miss to get audio enabled and sound card recognized? On RPi, I had to enable sound card by adding a line in /etc/modules and also set up the 3.5mm audio jack for output by running the command "sudo amixer cset numid=3 1".

Any further suggestions would be appreciated!
