I had to load an intel HD Graphic Driver that would only run in 640x480 mode after hammering F8 and selecting "Allow Vga Mode" since your nearly worthless driver Identification facility WILL NOT WORK with the standard Default VGA driver tyhat EVERYONE has when they dont know the correcvt driver. This is a half assed workaround at best. In addition, you must select the left option box upon running the driver Identification Utility when you get the message that says you cant connect or something. After you select the left button of the two it goes to the window showing your drivers. In other words, if you are using the facility to update your Intel HD Video, because stupid windows catalog doesn't find the right driver, your Driver Identification, wont work unless I force a non-compatible Intel HD driver that crashes my display and computer unless I start with F8 and select Allow VGA Mode. The default driver Microsoft loads when it cant find the correct Intel HD display driver is VGAPNP.sys - You need to update or correct the bug in your driver identification facility to check the hardware id of the device to determine the correct driver not the current "driver name or whatever the heck your checking. Once I have the correct video driver loaded then your driver identification utility works. This is only a problem for your customers who are using your facility to find updated video drivers, but I suspect that is the most common use for your utility. Still, Kudos to you for providing the facility, as it still is extremely useful, once you get it to work. My system, Toshiba l745-s4110, running XP x64 with I3 core 2350 and Intel HD 3000 gdu. I saw writeups on your tech support site for all OS's xp 32 to win 8 64 so I think this problem is pretty widespread, not to mention making your software developers look less than the supreme view most people have of you and your developers.
