Edit:
I just ran a CPU and Graphics Stress Test, since the problem started while watching youtube (the crashing), no problems while running the stress tests.
Tried gaming, no problems either.
The error from the IPD stays however; Platform Controller Hub Test Failed. Error while retrieving SATA Device Information from OS
For information;
Z87-GD65 gaming mobo
Intel I7-4770K (not OC'd)
8g (2x4) HyperX Beast (running at 1600mhz)
Win 8.1 (BIOS set on win 8 mode)
2 old hdd's and 1 Samsung SSD EVO 120G
Re-edit;
Just performed a clean install to rule out any software/ driver issues. The error stays. The crashing so far only happens with youtube.
Re-re-edit;
Tried contacting customer support by phone and chat, neither worked. Already send a ticket...

Vamsi: I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. I will certainly be able to help you resolve this issue.
martin: that whould be great!
martin: For extra info, i tried running a stress test on both cpu and graphics, both went fine. The crashing usually happens with youtube, no bleu screen just a freeze and the audio going berserk. And while thinking about it last night, last few weeks the mouse (usb connected) "unplugged" itself a couple of time, if i removed it and re inserted it, it would work once again.
martin: I reinstalled all drivers, that didn't work, performed a clean install wich also didn't resolve the problem.
Vamsi: Not to worry.
Vamsi: Please stay online for 3-4 minutes, while I check the details for you.
Vamsi:
martin: without crashing, no prob
Vamsi: Thank you for being online.
Vamsi: To check the compatibility and resolve the issue, I would require the details mentioned below:
Vamsi: - Motherboard model number.
Vamsi: - RAM frequency, Brand and capacity.
Vamsi: - PSU brand and capacity.
Vamsi: - Operating system.
martin: MSI Z87-GD65 gaming (MS-7845)
martin: Kingston HyperX Beast, 1600mhz, 2x4 gb
martin: Windows 8 (not yet updated to windows 8.1 because of the clean install)
Vamsi: May I know are using any Graphic card?
martin: No, just the HD-4600
martin: seasonic G-series 550 watt
Vamsi: Thank you for information.

Vamsi: May I know from when you are facing this issue?
martin: since yesterday
martin: I't happened while being on youtube. Happens every time i go on youtube now, one time sooner other time later.
Vamsi: May I know have you done any hardware or software changes before the issue started?
martin: No I haven't.
martin: Btw, the mouse "unplugging" itself has been for somewhat longer, i guess about a month or so, but that doesn't happen often.
Vamsi: May I know have you update latest graphic drivers for your processor?
Vamsi: Not to worry.
martin: yes, i updated everyting yesterday, and again after the clean install.
Vamsi: May I know have you update the BIOS of the motherboard?
martin: yes, the lastest version is a couple of months old now i think
martin: But i regularly check the msi site for updates..
Vamsi: Have you also update chipset drivers and all other drivers of the motherboard?
martin: yes
martin: i use the msi tool to check, and then download and install the drivers manually (the tool doesn't work great )
martin: oh on the intel site i found a newer driver which i'm downloading right now.
martin: but that could be because of the clean install, as for yesterday i know for certain my drivers where up to date.

After which I (again) downloaded all drivers, and reinstalled them. I also re flashed my bios just to be sure. Neither helped.
