Yes you can use ssh, but cannot tell you what the IP address is. It it given to the Galileo by your local network, so is usually different for every location. You should be able to look at the log for your DHCP server (your router?) and see what IP is has handed out recently, or if you have a linux system on your subnet, you can run nmap from it and just scan your subnet to see what IPs are in use.
