Created this account just to post this.
I was having the same problem with drop outs. they were probably occuring every 5 minutes and a bit more often.
I installed the 14.0.2.2 version for Win 7 64-bit on my Win 8.1 64-bit system and I've been running OK for well over an hour now. Tried stressing the card to see if it would drop it like it did before (Needing a disable/enable of the adapter) but it's all good.
I'm using an Alienware M17x R3
Been running for a few days now without a single drop out
