Re: NUC Haswell reboots after shutdown

Also using FW25 on a i3 Hawell NUC with OpenELEC/Linux and my two issues still exist.

  1. The NUC automatically reboots when it is shutdown (if and only if the WOL option enabled in BIOS). Disabling WOL option in BIOS stops the NUC from rebooting when it's shutdown, but it obviously disables WOL which is an minor annoyance for some, an a deal breaker for others.
  2. S3 Sleep/Suspend DOES NOT WORK in OpenELEC/Linux. It either causes the NUC to hang requiring a hard reboot, or it goes to sleep for 1 second and then instantly wakes up.  Can't seem to consistently replicate one behavior of the other - it seems there is a 50/50 chance of either it hanging on suspend, or suspending and then instantly waking up.

This seems pretty consistent with problems being reported by other people in this thread. I was seriously hoping FW25 would fix these issues, but once again, I'll have to wait patiently for the next BIOS update (and from experience, probably be disappointed once again....).

Can we get an updated response from Intel in regards to these problems?

PS: For what its worth, i do recall my BIOS hanging when i changed drop down menu settings in BIOS using my keyboard (for example, changing the S3 State Indicator or changing the Power Management Settings with drop down boxes).

After installing FW25 and changing settings in BIOS my NUC did not crash once - so i believe they have finally fixed their once horrible and broken GUI BIOS.
