Hi All,
I have seen a lot of similar posts in my searching, but not one that specifically seems to be the same configuration.
First off:
Netgear PTV3000 w/ FW 2.4.26 (both with / with out the 2.0 / 3.0 compatibility checkbox checked)
Core i7-3687U
PROSet Wireless Driver looks to be 15.10.5.1
HD Graphics 4000 w/ driver 10.18.10.3379
Windows 8.1
When I run the WiDi update tool, it tells me that no updates are required and that I am ready to run WiDi.
When I go to pair w/ the PTV3000, it works w/o a problem, screen code comes up, and shows up in the Projectors list in Devices. But when I go to connect, the device goes to the "connecting" screen, my laptop will make the connect sound, go black as if it is changing screen resolution, then make the disconnect sound and the device is "ready for connection" again.
I was able to successfully connect to PTV3000 with both an Android phone as well as a different laptop, so it would seem that it is possible to connect. One other piece of info, that I am not sure is relevant or not is that I have connected this to the a Targus USB 3.0 dock and it did install various DisplayLink drivers, but at the time I am trying to project, I am not connected to the dock.
Is there anything further I can do to track down or troubleshoot why this is failing?
